I am not sure if this is me trying to look tough, or if the sun is in my eyes.
Regardless, I think it is worth mentioning that I was actually a really excellent goalie nicknamed “The Wall” when I played in my Kindergarten and 1st grade soccer teams in Southern California.
We got to choose our own team name and as first-graders we came up with “The Striking Tigers.” I have no idea why.
EDIT: Never mind, this was when I was on the “Killer Whales”, which we insisted upon even though our moms wanted us to be called the “Darling Dalmatians.” I mean, what the hell, parents? Who is intimidated by a darling dalmatian?
